Technology Support

We are here to help with Chromebook, computer, internet, and all system issues. If anything is just not working the way it should be, pass it our way and it will be fixed.

Students: Please report to the front office and talk with the front desk personnel as your first point of contact when there is a difficulty involving a Chromebook or account. Loaner Chromebooks are supplied by the front desk personnel when your district-issued Chromebook is sent in for repairs.

Staff: On-site technicians are a phone call or email away and are willing to help in all situations. Please don't move or tinker with the equipment; allow the RJUHSD Technology staff to handle the logistics.

Chromebook

1. Restart the Chromebook

Hold the power button on the top right of the keyboard or on the side of the device, wait 3 seconds, then push the power button again.
OR
Press the power button and refresh button (the circular arrow on the top of the keyboard) to force restart the laptop.

2. Update Chrome OS

Go to Settings > About ChromeOS > Check for updates.
Keeping your device updated can resolve performance bugs or compatibility issues.

Windows

1. Restart the Computer

A simple reboot clears temporary files and resets many background processes.
Go to Start > Power > Restart (don’t just "shut down" if you're trying to fix an issue).

2. Allow the Computer to Load

A common issue is when a computer can't connect to the internet when someone immediately logs in.

Restart the computer.
Please wait for the internet icon on the bottom right to turn from a globe to either WiFi bars or a little computer icon for hardwired devices.
Log in using your district account.

3. Check for Windows Updates

Outdated software can cause bugs or compatibility issues.
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any available updates.
