College & Career Center
As high school students look toward their future after graduation, it's important to start exploring both college and career options.College can provide valuable academic experiences and personal growth, offering a pathway to specialized knowledge in fields like science, business, or the arts. However vocational training, apprenticeships, and certifications in areas like technology, healthcare, and skilled trades can lead to rewarding, well-paying jobs. Researching can allow students to create a plan that aligns with their passions, strengths, and long-term goals.
At this time Roseville Pathways does not have a College & Career Center. Please schedule a meeting with your counselor to seek guidance, and take proactive steps toward a fulfilling future.

Financial Aid
FAFSA / CADAA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is now open. Please begin filling out the form today in your CA College Account. Use this slideshow for directions on how to get started
The 2026–27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form is in beta for early testing and will be available to everyone by Oct. 1, 2025.
What is the FAFSA for?
The schools where you get accepted will look at info from your FAFSA, and use it to put together your financial aid package for one year. Your package may include college grants, work-study, federal student loans and even state and school financial aid.
Why should you file the form early?
Some financial aid is awarded first-come, first-served. That means the earlier you file, the more free money you could get for college. FAFSA® opens in December, so be sure to submit your application as close to that date as possible!

Resumes For Teens
How to create a resume for teens- Indeed Career Guide
When you are writing your resume, you can draw on all aspects of your life to show that you have the skills that a recruiter is looking for. Use these steps to write your teen resume:
- 1. Read the job description thoroughly
- 2. Make your contact details obvious
- 3. Include an objective statement
- 4. Add sections that are relevant
- 5. Give facts or figures when possible
- 6. Proofread your resume thoroughly
1. Read the job description thoroughly
2. Make your contact details obvious
You want it to be easy for a recruiter to get in touch with you by ensuring that your contact details are clear. Include your name, address, phone number and email address. You only need to include your town and state if you don't want to use your full street address. You should also make sure your email address is professional and includes your name if possible. If you have your own website or online portfolio, you can put those details on your resume as well if they include relevant information.
3. Include an objective statement
If you don't have a lot of experience to include on your resume, include an objective statement in which you outline your goals and your intentions for your career. This should be two or three sentences that will attract a hiring manager's attention, give them an idea of who you are and show how you are suitable for the position you're applying for. You can adapt your objective statement to suit the job you are applying for. This is important if you are applying for positions in different industries, which is likely when you are looking at entry-level roles.
For example: "Hard-working honor roll student with excellent time management skills seeks an opportunity to use problem-solving skills in a professional office environment."
4. Add sections that are relevant
Although there are many sections that you could include on your resume, there is no need to use every one unless you have something relevant to put in it. There will always be some skills you can list, and if you have had some relevant experience through a hobby or interest, then you can expand these sections. Common sections to include in a resume are:
Work history: List any jobs you have held in reverse chronological order, and describe your duties for each one in bullet points. Even if you don’t have much work experience, make sure to include any volunteer work, school projects, or extracurricular activities on your resume. Highlight transferable skills like communication, teamwork, and time management.
Education: List the name of your school, any diplomas or degrees you have (or what year you are in school) and any relevant courses.
Skills: Create a list of your relevant skills.
Awards and achievements: Describe any achievements you have earned, such as being on the dean's list or winning a school competition.
Hobbies and interests: Include hobbies and interests if they show skills or experience related to the job you're applying for.
5. Give facts or figures when possible
When you're talking about your achievements, include details about the impact of your work. If your hard work has earned you a great GPA, then mention it. If your work leading the debate team has resulted in an unbroken winning streak, then you can include that as an example of excellent leadership skills.
6. Proofread your resume thoroughly
